BEACH DAY!!!!

Hello everyone,

So tomorrow (friday for us, thursday for you) we head to Maksum, a village in the interior of Papua, in the mean time we were able to visit a local beach. The weather was perfect (it has actually been pretty pleasant here... it is usually unbearably humid.) The water was clear and warm. Just down the beach there was a fresh water lake that was flowing into the ocean. All in all a very nice place to spend the afternoon.

This evening we ate dinner with a few of the MAF families here in Sentani. A good chance for the team to connect with people before conference and taste some indonesian cuisine. Thanks for all your prayers. We really are having a smooth trip so far. Please continue to pray that God will keep us all healthy during our village stay so that we can effectively serve at conference.

Oh, by the way, I realized today that I forgot the cable to change the battery to my digital camera. I can't check the comments here (long story.) So I will see who won the little contest later.

Well, we will be in the middle of nowhere for a while so it could be a bit before I post again. So until then...

stay classy vancouver

That's so exciting! Beach day was pretty cool last year, minus the rain of course...was the bouncy tree still intact? That was probably one of the best parts. We will definately be praying for y'all in the village, for your health and that God would break down any barriers that prevent you from truly interacting and investing in the lives of the people there. Enjoy and be safe...and as Dave Matthews would say, "Don't drink the water!"
